On our porchlight tonight trying to stay warm is a swarm of orphaned worker bees. Farmers sent their hives somewhere else today so they have no home and no queen and without a new one they will die off in a few days. Not sure why the hives were removed by day with workers and scouts busy instead of by night when they would have been in the hive. This surely adds to the bee die off.
