My name is Andy Anderson and I am the owner/admin here at Kiosk Social and plan this post to address the heroic support my family received from residents throughout Yuma County Arizona. Your kindness helped prove beyond doubt that true faith can bend, but never be broken and the reward of faith is support and community.
Sadly I have only a few names from our ordeal to give a direct shout out but the two largest names to thank are our current landlord Donald Pelfrey out here in rural Roll AZ who rallied 3 communities around the stories carried in Jennifer Blackwell News. From Shelter to finding furnishings and bedding, clothing, initial food, and helping us work our way toward being whole Donald and Jennifer's faith and dedication gave us powerful champions in our service.
Mellissa Miller whom I just learned the name of today was also a huge help running a fundraiser as was Pastor Harmon from the Faith Lutheran Church in Yuma AZ. A Big shout also goes to the First Southern Baptist Church of Wellton Arizona as well as the American Red Cross.
Today we have gone from no home, no transportation, 2 jobs in question, and only one outfit of clothes each to have replaced just about everything in our immediate needs and the experience working with Jennifer and doing 2 TV Interviews with KYMA News my Social Anxiety Disorder has nearly completely vanished and for the first time in a decade I am rejoining the workforce with not 1 but 2 up and coming businesses.
A couple of months back I began the process of getting my Arizona State Life insurance License, and while the road has been slow and some car issues and a canceled test day put things on hold within the next couple of weeks I will be joining Primerica Financial as an Independent Agent, and Kiosk Social is being born as Yuma's own online community.
The tools for business here on Kiosk are allowing me to reach out to some of our helpers and pay back or pay forward their kindness. The pay-forward offers are currently running on media to help small businesses and content creators who help grow our membership and fill out marketplace listings before the launch date which is July 4th, 2023. I am always interested in bartering and willing to listen if you have an idea on how you can help our social network grow in exchange fore business growth using our tools.
I want to also thank our local schools in the Mowhawk Valley, both Antelope High School and Mowhawk Elementary in Roll for all you have done to help two of our 3 minor children get back on track in a public school environment. Adrian who suffers from mental illness studied at home, but the laid-back and peaceful surroundings here have seen massive progress in his behaviors as well as helping immensely with my own bipolar and Social Anxiety Disorders.
Life is getting good, and God has shown his love as has this wonderful spot on earth.
